The Social Network (2010, PG-13)

Directed by: David Fincher

Grade: A

It's arguable, but the Social Network is probably the most well done movie of the decade (2000-2010).  I never knew a movie could be as ambitious as this, packing in much more substance into a two hour running time then what I thought it could contain.  This movie came as a strong surprise, considering that it concerns the founding and events surrounding the controversies of today's currently most popular website/online community, Facebook.  The Social Network, which undoubtedly is the best scripted movie of the decade, is also a great movie due to it's massive attention to detail, focused direction, outstanding acting performances and the fact that it really does contain a hidden but moral message.  That message is an important one.  It takes deep thought to realize it, but the message is that success always comes at a price.  Take a look at the main character, Mark Zuckerberg.  He lost valuable friendships to become the youngest billionaire in history.  Think harder on it, and it's a sad story, but a hauntingly real one.  With that all said, the Social Network is a brilliant work of pure genius.  A
