Even though strong controversies have surrounded this motion picture, the Passion of the Christ is one of the most emotional, powerful, unflinching movies that I have ever seen. In my review of this incredible movie, I would like to address a major criticism that this movie has warranted. This is the graphic, bloody violence that is presented during the torture and crucifixion of Jesus, which many have felt goes to the maximum extreme. I praise the violence in the film because, even though it is very, very disturbing, it's necessary in showing how realistic the movie really is. Am I obsessed with blood and guts spraying all over the place? No, absolutely not! This is a rare movie that isn't really made for entertainment or enjoyment; rather, it wisely goes for a much more authentic, pragmatic feel that makes the movie feel all the more real. Yes, the Passion of the Christ is compelling. Some things about it are completely unexplainable. That's another reason that makes this motion picture so emotionally moving. Not once does it ever lose its principal focus upon the true story it’s vividly portraying. Let me guarantee you, there will be no other film that will leave as such a big impact upon you as this one. The Passion of the Christ is a powerful masterwork. A
